Course Information:

A Flagger, also known as a Traffic Control Person (TCP), plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and workers. Allskillsmatter Inc. offers the official certification program authorized by the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA).

The BCCSA’s TCP course includes both classroom and practical training and is the sole program recognized by WorkSafe BC under Section 18 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation for high-risk traffic control.

This course solely comprises classroom instruction (no practical roadwork) and entails a written examination. The only alternative to undertaking the 1-day requalification course is to retake the entire 2-day TCP course.

Prerequisites

You can requalify starting 6 months (180 days) prior to your current expiration date. You have a 12-month window after your certification expires to complete the requalification course. However, you cannot work as a TCP while your certificate is expired.
